Female Arrested for Driving with a BAC over the legal limit

On December 3rd, 2017 offices with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 53 year old Trudy Vaittinen of Pine Street for an impaired driving related offence.


Just after 1:00 a.m. offices observed the accused operating a motor vehicle on Allard Street with no headlights on.  Officers initiated a traffic stop and soon after demanded that the accused provide a sample of her breath into a roadside screening device.  The device registered a fail and the accused was taken into custody. 


The accused has been charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit.  She will appear in court on January 8th, 2018.
