Two Charged in Connection with Incident on City Bus

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have conducted an investigation into an incident that took place on a city bus on July 27, 2019. 

As a result of the investigation a male and a female have been charged criminally with cause a disturbance. In addition to the charge, in accordance with City policy, both individuals have been issued a trespass notice and are banned from the use of city transit indefinitely. 

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in conjunction with the Corporation of the City of Sault Ste. Marie will maintain a zero tolerance approach when it comes to any incidents taking place on a city bus. 

For those utilizing public transit please be considerate of your fellow passengers at all times. Everyone who uses public transit should be comfortable and feel safe while traveling to their destination.
