Female Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property

On December 3rd, 2018 officers with the Break and Enter Unit of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 32 year old Bobbie-Jean Otakwadjiwan-Boyer of Albert Street West for possession of stolen property.

It is alleged that on November 20th, 2018 the accused attempted to pawn some jewelry that had been reported stolen from a break and enter the day before.  The value of the jewelry was estimated at just over $12,000.  Officers were notified by the staff and the property was recovered. 


The accused was located on December 3rd, and was taken into custody.  At that time she was found to be in possession of personal cheques that had been reported stolen from a break and enter in June of 2018.  She has been charged with 2 counts of possession of stolen property and she will appear in court on January 14th, 2019.
